My name is Jeff Heaton, and I am a graphic designer and artist from Dallas, Texas. I'm currently an art student at the University of North Texas, and I am constantly learning and adapting to the ever-changing world of the arts.
I have determined that art should be a bridge that allows us as humans to relate to something much more grandiose than the aspects of a dissolving material world. Art should carry an importance and a relevence to our lives and to what affects us. Through simplicity, I try and evoke some of those thoughts and emotions that go much deeper than the aesthetic environment.
What I do
My goal is to learn as many fine art techniques as I can. Of course, that could take a while. As of now, I focus primarly on digital graphics, traditional arts, and photography.
How I do it
My inspiration comes from everyday life. Spirituality, philosophy, and the teachings of Christ influence my work. The meaning behind a piece of artwork is critical.
